Trail of Tears

This week  we watched a movie called the Trail of Tears. Today we are going to reflect on how they felt about going and leaving their house. So with that being said  lets begin! The main states that the Cherokee lived were GA, South Carolina, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky. I think it was really sad for the people who were on the trail of tears. Because would you want people to come into your house and kick you and your family out. There were a lot of people who were on the trip, but here is some of the main people who were on it, a lot of Cherokee’s  because they were forced out of there homes and there land, and the soldiers. The soldiers came with them on the trip because to make sure no one left or no one vanished. The president gave the people who were living there a couple of days to leave before he went into the houses and did it himself. They had to go to what we call today, Oklahoma.  They hated it and they couldn’t find there family members. Who were lost or dead. When they were on this dreadful trip a lot of people died so they didn’t go to burial homes they just buried them on the side of the road where they were walking.

The dreadful Trail of Tears
As I go into my house there are soldiers wating for me
Lets go they said
They force me out
Wait I need my baby
No you don’t
After we walk to the field where we start
Everyone is there
And they began walking
For miles
For Oklahoma
Where we ended up
People were dying left and right
I couldn’t do this anymore
I tried to leave but I couldn’t
They were stingy to everyone
Everyone tried to whimper but it was futile
When we finally got to what we called Oklahoma
I recoiled into the seat
