Dahlonega Gold Mine

All aboard welcome on the Dahlonega train. The first stop we are going to cover is in the mine. So let's jump right in. Dahlonega was really cool and fun. We got to pan for gold, but some people didn’t find any gold. Before the trip like every other trip we learned about the trip and the gold rush. There are many things that I learned again like the machine that you need to be very careful of or you might get your finger cut off. Also there is a signature from the president named John Tyler. There is one thing that I didn’t know that I just recently learned about the machines that they used are called the Stamp Mills. The last thing that I learned at the Museum part is that they have gold coins that are really rare and you can't take a picture of them.  Moving on, next stop the gold mine and panning for gold. It  was really fun and I got three pieces of gold. Our tour guide named Jonny was the world record of gold mining. Also I learned that there are bats in the mine. Also the mine was seven stories underground. There was water in the mine on the walls. The three things that I enjoyed that we got to mine for gold. We got to go with other classes and we got to see bats. I will see you next time.
